SimpleScout Guidelines - How to Get the Most from the Service

For location representatives:

• We can only accept location-related pitches, news and updates, so keep this in mind when composing your submissions. And think laterally - SimpleScout users may be looking for inspiration and your description of an available location may be just the thing they're looking for.

• We accept that not every SimpleScout location representative may work for an agency or company. Independent or freelance representatives are most welcome to sign-up as a SimpleScout location representative, but please ensure you provide full contact info so we have the option to verify your status. This is very important in our efforts to maintain the very highest quality for everyone using SimpleScout.

• Please respect SimpleScout users' preferred method of contact. If they have asked for information to be emailed, please ensure this is how additional information is sent, even if you know which company they work for and could contact them over the phone. Of course, once you have made contact with them and established your own relationship you are both free to make contact in any way you see fit.

• Please note that this service is designed to put genuine public relations/marketing professionals/location agents in touch with photographers/filmmakers/TV professionals/etc looking for suitable locations. In order to maintain the highest possible quality of service we will erase inappropriate or dormant accounts on a regular basis.

For photographers/filmmakers/TV professionals/etc:

• We will do our level best to distribute your requests for specific location-related information at the earliest opportunity. However, please spell out your requirements as clearly as possible and include any deadlines which you may be working to.

• Please respect location representatives' preferred method of contact. If they have asked for follow-ups to be via email, please ensure this is how additional information is sent, even if you know location they represent and could contact them over the phone (unless they've included phone details in their pitch). Of course, once you have made contact with them and established your own business relationship you are both free to do whatever you want.

• We accept that not every photographer/filmmaker/TV professional has an email address which corresponds with an established media operation. Users with free email accounts are most welcome to sign-up to receive SimpleScout bulletins, but please ensure you provide full contact info so we have the option to verify your status. This is very important in our efforts to maintain the highest quality for everyone using SimpleScout.
